Vampire Brown

So not only do I NOT get enough space on my bed, I also have to humour my humans when they take photos of me. I didn't even realise this photo was taken till I saw Sharon downloading it on the laptop! Wonder what else is in store for lil ole me?

Velveteen Rabbit

"When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real."

Sharon and Jules have a game they play. They know I am real, but sometimes they (yes, overgrown teenagers) like to talk about how it would be if I were like a real human.

They always picture me as a dog but able to do human things, like go to school, drive (they said my paws have to be tied to the steering wheel as I don't have opposable digits) and go for buffets (there's no way they could replenish the food fast enough). I don't have to wear clothes though (Yay).

They always say I would be a very loving person. And pretty smart too (beams). And I wouldn't have to queue or ballot for a place in a popular primary school as Jules is from Nanyang Primary which would get me a place there automatically. So I would be off to a good start!

They insist I would't have very good table manners or social etiquette as I would still like to smell your butt or crotch and eat off the floor. But they say my big brown eyes would make up for it all (smiles).

They also said I probably will have little confidence but my friendliness will more than make up for that shortfall. I also may not have many friends because of the baggage (turned around and looked at my back and couldn't see any baggage) I carry but whatever friends I have, I will love love love!

I will probably have a weight problem (like Mommy) and a "must shave everyday" situation (like Daddy).

What they don't know is that I picture them as big huge doggies too! All the time. Then they would be home with me. Why would I want to be human?

Are your humans that strange too?

I have been Tagged!

Akira and Shiro tagged me! Now I have to tell you 7 things I never mention in my blog. And find 7 other doggies too!

Its really hard, I am such a "tell it all" doggie, what else can I tell you?

1. I am terrified of thunder
2. When I get scared, I hide under the chair or bed not realising the rest of my butt is sticking out in its full glory
3. I eat lots of bones and crap when I go for a walk, I just can't help it
4. I have bad breath (according to Sharon)
5. I hate peas and Tow Gay (Beansprouts) and I will pick them out with my teeth
6. I can spit cherry pits out really far
and this is a BIG secret,
7. Ahem, I am missing a nipple (ARRrrrhhhHH, can't believe I just told you guys that)

I tag
Fei, Jeannie and Jewel, Pearly, Buster, Jay, Ginger and Brutus

Any dirty little skeletons?

Happy Birthday Brownie Roo

We hope you know how deeply we love you
If only you knew the valuable lessons you taught and continue teaching us

You must have known we would be together forever from the first time you saw us
I remember you sitting outside my home, begging to be let in.

I remember being terrified of you - a very pregnant stray
You were such a brave doggie, getting beaten by the Evil living upstairs

And yet coming back to my home, because you knew...
You knew we were going to be soulmates
I often berate myself for not letting you into my heart earlier

I remember you stealing my shoe and running away with it
I still chuckle to myself when I think of that

You walked me across the carpark every day and watched till I safely crossed the street
You knew I would turn around to say goodbye
How did you know?

Our only regret is that we never had you as a puppy
We are sorry we were not there to protect you from getting the scars on your face
We wish we were there to help you mend your leg when you hurt it
Every time we see your bent leg and your scars, we feel such auguish

We shudder to think of you almost giving birth alone and we are eternally grateful to all who helped

If only we could turn back time, we would have loved you from the day you were born.

Happy Fifth Birthday Brownie Roobarka!

Smiling in my sleep

Sometimes when I dream, I smile in my sleep. Sharon loves when that happens...

So when I don't smile in my sleep, she 'helps' me.

On our walks

On our walks together, we see lots of stuff, ant hills, flowers and more! I like the place where we live, its full of buildings (flats) but there is a little green hill there and I like to think its just for me!

Ant City -very much like the one I did my business on yesterday. If you see it, you will realise you can't really know its an ant hill unless its daylight. So its not my fault I "ahemed" in it. Sorry ants

Pretty flowers in the wild

What a walk...

I really needed to go, so I did and when Jules bent down to pick up my ahem, freshly done business, he realised I did it on an ant hill! We rushed home and well, Sharon and Jules spent twenty minutes picking ants off my butt! Most undignified. Shhhhhh...

What makes you sad?

I get sad when Sharon and Jules have lots of work to do, they get a tad grumpy and I wonder if its because of me? I hope not...I just want to be the best doggie in the whole wide world so that they will be happy.

I get a little sad when I am alone at home from 8 am till about 9 pm. Thats more than 12 hours in this lonely apartment. Every little sound is magnified and when it rains I get very scared. When I first moved in with Sharon and Jules and they went to work, I thought they had abandoned me.

I get sad when they get angry and push me away when I jump and try to kiss them when they get back from work. Don't they know I wait by the door all day, longing to see them again? I don't even eat the food they leave out for me till they get back home.

But you know what? The saddest phase of my life is over - that of being a stray puppy - it was horrible. I never experienced a good nights sleep. People were always chasing me away. Sharon's old nieghbour chased me with a bamboo pole (that people use to hang clothes on) a few times. I ate dirty scraps. I had no where to hide. Kids ran away from me like I was some hideous creature and threw stones at me. And one by one my siblings and parents died. I was all alone in this world. Every night I would look up at the sky and wonder "Why Me?"

Check out Patch

Hou

This is Sharon's best friend's parents' doggie, his name is Patch. Check out his "dog tattoo" on his fur!

Poor Patch, do you have to be locked up just like me, when people "who scream at the mere sight of anything furry" visit?
